THE CAT'S EYE, 150 Charles St W

There will be a POST-SHOW CHAT on Thursday, February 4, 2010, with members of the cast and special guests Jude Tate and Adam Morrison from the Office of LGBTQ Resources and Programs at U of T.

"The Laramie Project" tells the story of twenty-one year old University of Wyoming student Matthew Shepard, who in October 1998 was kidnapped, brutally beaten and left to die, tied to a fence on the outskirts of Laramie, Wyoming. He was the victim of this assault because he was gay. "The Laramie Project" chronicles the life of the town of Laramie after the murder, and is based on a series of more than 200 interviews conducted by Moisés Kaufman and fellow members of the Tectonic Theater Project.

Pay-what-you-can - All proceeds will benefit Lesbian Gay Bi Trans Youth Line, a toll-free Ontario-wide peer support phone line for LGBTQ youth.

This production would not be possible without the generous support of the Victoria College Endowment for the Performing Arts and The Cat's Eye.
